Time to get your eyes checked?

It is our mission to make quality and affordable vision care accessible and convenient-that is why we have partnered with The Eye Doctors Clinic, which has 5 locations in Lagos, to offer comprehensive eye exams with qualified opticians.

How to book an eye test

Before

You can find your nearest store by clicking "Book now" and choose a time slot for your visit.

During

You could even book an eye test during your lunch break, as eye tests (for both single-vision and varifocal glasses) last about 30 minutes.

After

We will email you shortly after your appointment to follow up on your appointment and to deliver your prescription card. Once the test is complete, you will receive your prescription card in the next few days. You now need to find the right frame - our team can help and advise you.

Here's what you should expect

It is recommended that you have your eyes tested every two years, even if they seem to be in perfect condition. You should schedule an appointment with us as soon as possible if you are experiencing discomfort or have concerns. Still not convinced? Here are some tell-tell signs your eyes need testing, along with what to expect during an eye exam with us.

During the examination, a concise history is taken. Questions about the eye complaint(s) are asked - onset, duration, precipitants, relieving factors, associated features (pain, redness, discharge, photophobia, etc). Past ophthalmic, medical, family, social, drug and allergy histories are noted.

  • Inconsistency in corneal curvature causes astigmatism: A distortion of vision

Based on the condition of your eyes, we can determine how much correction you need in your lenses. Your prescription contains a series of numbers representing these corrections.

Here's how you should prepare

In preparation for your eye exam, you should gather the following information:

If you wear corrective lenses, such as your current glasses, you should bring them to your eye appointment.

Last but not least, you should bring sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during the exam. The drops used to dilate your pupils can cause sensitivity to light and blurred vision for a few hours after the dilation.

You might also ask a trusted person to drive you home from the optometrist's office if it isn't walkable from your location.
